A new study by GOBankingRates says that Nevada is the most expensive state in which to receive a speeding ticket.  The fines in Nevada are up to three times more than any other state in the country, according to the study. The average cost for a speeding ticket in Nevada is $1,000.  The maximum fine in Nevada can run into four digits, even for first-time speeders.  The state with the next highest cost is Alaska. First-time speeding offenses carry a maximum penalty of $300.  On the flip side, the state of Oklahoma had the lowest average of just $20.
